The Web2 Great Flood has long washed over us. It found us parched for a drink, so we drank. We imbibed at first to quench a most dire thirst; the longing to relate to one another, connect, and share. But these days, you and I are very much bloated, yet we still drink from the same water for the same reason we still breathe from the same air: the stuff has submerged us; it simply is all over and around us.

Join Decentralized AI and Web3 Social Builders for an exclusive co-living and co-working experience on an iconic houseboat by the River Thames during ETHGlobal London 2024.

In an intimate setting, meet a community of builders eager to shape the future of algorithmic choice and transparent information propagation on social media. Engage with AI and Web3 experts with a decade of experience in decentralized AI, recommendation systems, AI curation, and chatbot applications.

Goal:

The Web3 Guardian's Arch is a place for creators, developers, and visionaries who want to use Web3 and AI to change social media. Its goal is to save good ideas from the old era of social platforms and AI and avoid past mistakes.

We want a place where people work together to investigate, discuss, and change the systems running the next social media.

The Web3 Guardian's Arch symbolizes our shared journey towards a better online world, where we learn from the past to improve the future.

Web3 Guardian’s Arch residents:

The houseboat comprises two stores: a deck store with ample room for workshops, living, and coworking and a lower floor that can host up to 12 people in 5 huge rooms with 2.5 bathrooms available. 

The houseboat is available to residents from 11th March at 4 PM until 17th March at 11 AM. We are looking for: 

1) Decentralized AI or Web3 Social founders or operators

2) Data Scientists interested in Decentralized AI or Web3 Social

3) ETHLondon hackers focused on Decentralized AI or Web3 Social

4) Creators on Web3 Social Platforms interested in algorithmic curation

5) Social and Legal researchers interested to learn more about Web3 Social

The hosts reserve the right to choose residents who can help advance the community's goals and ensure a great mix of builders, scientists, hackers, and passionate individuals.

How to Get Involved:

There are several ways to get involved with the Web3 Guardian's Arch event:

  • Apply to Join: If you're a developer, visionary, or just someone interested in shaping the future of social media, consider applying to join the event. This will give you a place to start your work and connect with like-minded individuals who share your goals.
  • Attend a Workshop: Various workshops will be held during the event, each focusing on a specific aspect of AI and Web3. Experts will lead these field workshops and provide practical knowledge you can use in your work.
  • Participate in Discussions: The event will feature discussions on AI, Web3, and social media topics. By participating in these discussions, you can share your ideas, learn from others, and contribute to the overall direction of the event.

Venue:

The Web3 Guardian’s Arch will occur on London's largest and most historic floating residence. Launched in 1904, this unique venue was an innovative floating VIP/royal landing stage. Its rich history includes a visit from King George V in 1920, solidifying its status as a significant part of London's heritage.

After being decommissioned in 1980, the vessel underwent a meticulous restoration and interior makeover, transforming it into a breathtaking 1,850 sq. ft. contemporary living space. Today, it features 5 bedrooms, can host 12 people, and offers unparalleled views of the River Thames, Tower Bridge, the City's skyline, and the modern vista of Canary Wharf.

Since finishing the a16z crypto CSX program at the beginning of 2023, we have been training AI models on Web3 Social data. We intend to release a decentralized protocol that fairly rewards data labelers, data owners, and data scientists while supporting small and big developers in creating great Web3 applications.
